Ilan is an actor and improviser of Argentine descent based in New York City, with a BA in English from Cornell University and an MFA in Acting from the Actors Studio Drama School. He has performed improv and musical improv comedy on stages across New York and New Jersey, including his weekly show at the Magnet Theater and at theater festivals at the American Theater for Actors and the 13th Street Repertory Theater.
Ilan moved to NYC five years ago, where he fell in love with the improv scene, training at UCB, the Magnet, with North Coast, and with hip hop improv legends Freestyle Love Supreme. When the pandemic hit, Ilan decided to put his training and undergrad Shakespeare concentration to use, and founded the Digital Shakespeare Company, where he produced, designed, and directed online productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Macbeth. When the city opened up again, he pivoted his company from digital to Shakespeare After Dark, and produced, directed, and performed in Much Ado About Nothin’ at the Improv Asylum, NYC.
Ilan is drawn equally to classical theater and comedy. Some of his favorite roles were Uncle Vanya in Uncle Vanya (ASDS), Lady Macbeth in an all drag production of Macbeth (Cornell Shakespeare Troupe), and Chuck in a virtual production of She Kills Monsters (Bluebird Theater Company).
Member since 2018, would like to believe you are laughing WITH him, not AT him. Ryan is an actors, singer, dancer, writer, noodle hailing from upstate NY. He is also a recent graduate of NYU Tisch (Experimental Theatre Wing/New Studio on Broadway). Besides working his first ever improv job with Eight is Never Enough, Ryan loves bringing new works to life (so you won’t know any of his recent credits until they hit that good good Broadway transfer). Right before the quarantine life started, Ryan was cast in a new Off Broadway run of Naked Boys Singing. Critics have called him a “vocal powerhouse,” a “laugh riot,” and a “person.” Armed with a fast paced walk, and his home-made cold brew, he’s ready to take the world by storm!
