5-week course JUST for Teens – join the team and learn how to improvise, new Improv games and prepare for a performance showcase at the Broadway Comedy Club, NYC

Thursday October 29 6pm-6:30 SHOWCASE with top NYC teams (6:30-7:30 stay for our weekly Happy Hour series)

8-week classes includes weekly training in warm-up, technique and performance Improv Games. Class ends each week with an Open-Mic Performance. We never take off for 3-day weekends or religious holidays as every family observes different religions and travels at different times. So every 8-week session includes a bonus (9th) class (Dress Rehearsal) built into the calendar and a 10th session for the showcase. Friends and Family are invited to see student share their experiences, performing both Improv Games and original Stand-up material.

*In the past we have been liberal with discounts for regulars, late registration etc. This has helped us grow and provide the best possible service. Now we have grown it is becoming difficult to handle personal payment requests (to the point we often have no idea who has paid LOL) so starting FALL 2015 only discounts available are online through the website. This also helps us organize communication for all students and parents. Anyone that has paid cash in the past is not in system and does not always get updates or emergency info.

Hot new hybrid show combines great singers inspiring great players. We have found some great vocalists – including Broadway and recording talent – to deliver some hot cabaret style songs (Broadway, Standards, Pop). Then members of the cast of EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH spin into a scene inspired by the song’s title, lyrics and theme. Each of the scenes loosely tie together. 90-minutes later we have created a completely original book musical. The best of Long & Short form music intertwined with top NYC cabaret. The first two shows have nearly sold out. Book early for upcoming performances.

Artistic Director, PATRICK REIDY is an actor, comedian, musician, and improviser in NYC.  He can currently be seen as a host and improv comedian at the Broadway Comedy Club for the Eight Is Never Enough and LMAO-NYCInteractive Comedy Shows as well as touring with their family friendly cousin, Improv 4 Kids.  He is also an established improv teacher, having taught for the Comedy Hall Of Fame and independent residences throughout the five boroughs.  As a sketch writer and performer his work has been featured onFunny Or Die, College Humor, and the Absent Minded Comedy Show.  He is a graduate of Salem State University and has studied improv, sketch-writing, stand-up, and screenwriting at the Upright Citizens Brigade, The Peoples Improv Theatre, andThe Annoyance Theater.  Yes, and he would love to help you with your next artistic project!
