Double D is an improvisational duo founded by Nannette Deasy and Graceann Dorse. Double D performs all over NYC. Their hour-long, fully improvised play, “Scranton Buckets”, premiered at the 2017 Scranton Fringe Festival, and featured Graceann’s dead cat Beeker, who is freeze-dried but very lifelike.Double D focuses on monoscenes and other long-form techniques that allow them to dig a bit deeper into their characters, so that they can find the pathos and hidden truths that lead to a laugh but also to truly touching and dramatic moments that are just as important.
