For small groups, follow instructions in app. For larger groups and events, see my instructions below. This is how I run corporate events and family game nights with this game.
NOTE: This is based on the game Poetry for Neaderthals. In that game there is an inflatable club. When a player folks, opponent can bop them with the club. Anything soft can suffice OR for non violence, say BOINK when the player breaks the rules.

Cavern Laws
- The Setup: Divide players into two tribes (Rock Tribe & Bone Tribe). Alternate seating in a circle.
- Giving Clues: Describe the word on the screen using only words of one syllable, synonyms, and physical gestures.
- The “NO” Rules: You cannot say the word, any part of the word, rhyming words, or give the first letter.
- Passing: As soon as your teammate guesses correctly, press Good Clue! and immediately pass the device to the other tribe.
- The Bonk: If you use a word of more than one syllable, the opposing tribe yells BONK! and hits the Bonk penalty. You lose 1 point.
ROCK TRIBE TURN
Pass the device to the active clue giver. When ready, go!
TIME OUT!
Pass the device to the other tribe.
End of the Hunt
ROCK TRIBE WINS!
Corporate Event Play, 8 or more people.
- Split into two teams.
- Everyone will get a turn giving the word.
- Let a single player play the full 60 second round. Rack up as many points as you can as your team guess from your clues.
- For each round, have everyone play at least once. (Someone go twice if other team has more players.)
- For smaller groups play 2-3 or more rounds. May e do the family Feud thing and double points for round 2.
WHAT YOU CAN DO!
- The best game play come from putting on your best cave man Unga Bunga voice and speak in sentences, but with just ONE syllable.
- Use gestures to communicate your words. (This is a departure from original game. I find physical body language is morr Neanderthal then one syllable words.)
- Honestly the “synonym” is fine as long as it is a single syllable.
WHAT YOU CANNOT DO!
You cannot…
- Speak in two or more syllable words. BOINK!
- Say the first letter of the word. BOINK!
- Say any part of the word. BOINK!
- Say any rhyming words. BOINK!
