10/30 Sunday Halloween Improv Comedy Times Square NYC

New York Improv Theater’s signature off-Broadway interactive musical comedy show presents original skits and songs improvised based on audience suggestions and participation live from Times Square NYC.

Nicholas Nieves is a storyteller that blends his unique style of writing with comedic acting to entertain the masses. You can see Nicholas bring humor every week at The Magnet Theater (Musical Megawatt) and The Broadway Comedy Club (8Improv). Originally from Western New York, Nicholas studied Theatre Arts at SUNY Fredonia before making his way to New York City to pursue his career and bring his style of expression to the industry. He worked hard to cultivate his skills while attending classes at the Magnet Theatre under the tutelage of Michael Lutton, Annie Moor, and Frank Spitznagel.

Elise Ramaekers is a native of Des Moines, Iowa and is an Actor, Improviser, & Teacher based in Astoria, Queens. She got her BFA Musical Theatre at Long Island University Post (CW Post) where she studied under Maria Porter, Valerie Clayman Pye, and David Hugo. On Long Island she appeared in Post Theatre Company’s Glengarry Glen Ross as Williamson and as Antipholus of Ephesus in The Comedy of Errors. She was also president of Long Island University’s resident Improv troupe “No Control” performing at the Rifle Range Theatre & Gold Coast Cinema. Her recent Off-Broadway NYC musical credits include starring as Louise DuSaunt in Beauty & the Beast at The Players Theatre, Susan in True Confessions at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, Old Woman/Sister 1 in musical Dracula: Lord of the Dark at the Vino Theatre, & she also starred in “Keys” a a folk musical that was a part of NYU’s TYA new play development lab. Elise is a Professional Improviser and Company member of Theatre Nerds Murder Mysteries (theatrenerds.com), & Accomplice NYC. She also performed on multiple Musical Improv teams at the Magnet Theatre in NYC and performs Hip Hop Improv, & Long-Form/Short Form Improv in multiple Comedy Clubs around the city. When not doing Comedic Improv or Musical Theatre, Elise works as a Standardized Patient with Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine & Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Andrea Hernandez Mieres, Member since 2019, is a Mexican & Spanish singer, actress and dancer. Originally from Mexico City where she debuted professionally on the Musical Theater scene in the Mexican Broadway versions of The Fiddler on the Roof and The Scarlet Pimpernel. Recent AMDA NY graduate, Andrea is venturing on the New York City scene. Andrea will be the head counselor this Summer at our camp and regularly teaches comedy, theater and music at our classes.

Ilan Kaplan is an actor and improviser of Argentine descent based in NYC. He has an MFA in acting from the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University and has been training and performing at NYC’s biggest improv main stages (UCB, The Magnet, Asylum NYC, Broadway Comedy Club) since 2017. He currently appears in a long running musical improv show on a house team at the Magnet Theater, in addition to being a main cast member and host of Eight is Never Enough (New York Improv Theater). Ilan was a 2021 recipient of the NYFA City Artists Corps Grant, and will appear in a PBS docu-series coming soon to TVs near you!
