At the New York Improv Theater, We don’t like dangling possible paid opportunities to force you to pay for classes. Instead we are offering 2-4 individuals to come learn the art of improv and play along side the pros for 8 weeks of free classes and showcases, zoom writers rooms, sketch comedy videos, and maybe even….
The Commitment
- Times Square
- Saturdays 12-2pm Musical Theater Improv Class
- Sundays 12-2pm Improv Comedy Class
- Saturdays/Sundays 3pm shows
- Monthly Showcases
- OTHER
- Weekly zoom writer rooms, potential roles for sketch comedy videos
No promises, but in the past, interns have been invited to perform on paid gigs prior to the end of their internship period.

At the end of 8 weeks, we will sit down and access where you are in your development. If invited to join the cast….
- Weekly showcases pay $50 each. No unpaid showcases for our professionals.
- Improv 4 Kids / Teens Gigs: We work with k12 schools, camps, community centers and family offering shows, classes, and even professional development programming.
- Corporate Gigs: Shows and Workshops for.hokoday parties, team building, etc.
- ALSO Murder Mysteries, Trivia Nights, Game Shows, and more.
Our team has 20+ years of edutainment, live from Times Square NYC and touring nationwide. Come be a part of the team. EMAIL us headshot, resume and show message about yourself and interest. Prospective applicants should have completed college, or about to graduate OR completed a full studio program at a theater school. AKA ready for professional level work.
