On my to a corporate event in Old Forge, Pennsylvania. Here are a couple things that popped into my head…
The older I get, the harder it is to make coffee before having my first cup of coffee…
- You forget the grinds, now you have hot filtered water
- You forget the water, empty pot cracks from the heat
- You forget the filter, coffee is more like mud
- You forget to turn on, you go to drink the coffee and it’s an empty pot
- You forget to put water into machine, go to pour coffee from pot, and it’s just slightly warmed tap water
- You forget to put pot onto hotplate after putting water into machine and turning on, now kitchen counter and floor flooded with hot coffee.
- You forget to drink coffee. This is a new one for me. You make the coffee. You go to office #1 to do #2. Then go to home office #2, the one with a real computer, to pretend what you do isn’t #2. You finally go to get a cuppa and it’s already getting cold because it’s been about 3 hours.
- You make decaf by mistake because you keep some around for when the folks are here. 6 hours later you’re exhausted with raging headache cause you have a serious coffee drinking problem. The addiction is real!
- You drink a whole cup and at the bottom gulp is more grinds than coffee. You really should clean out the coffee machine more often.
- You drink a whole cup. At the bottom is some crud that isn’t coffee grinds and yiur realize, “THIS WAS A DIRTY MUG!”
I can’t blame my age. I’ve been making these blunders for decades! HAVE FUN today!!!!
