It’s the summer of 1977 and “Disco” Donnie Demarco, a slick, opportunistic record producer and owner of the hottest club in town, The Disco Inferno, has a knack for discovering talent but also a reputation for shady deals, broken promises, and stepping on toes, especially on the dance floor. Everyone knows him, and it seems, everyone has a reason to want him gone. It’s up to you and your guests to investigate, interogate and solve the murder.

We present shows almost daily live from Times Square NYC and touring DC to Boston and beyond – Corporate Events, Team Bonding, Professional Development for Teachers/Staff, Private Events – Birthdays, Anniversaries, etc, and even public events, partnering with regional theaters, restaurants and clubs.
Type of Show?
New York Improv Theater offers 3 main types of shows. The “FULL SHOW” features a cast of professional actors, usually four or more depending the event size and budget. The “CLUE PARTY” features one of our top detectives leading your guests, all of whom are given a character to play and a series of clues to share. Finally “MADCAPPED MYSTERIES” is out improvised murder show, with one of our detectives leading your guests to create the most original murder mystery show EVER!
Venue?
We can turn any venue into a murder mystery dinner theater, including yiur private home. You supply the guests, food & drink. We will plug in our immersice entertainment experience. We offer incredibly flexible programming. We also have event insurance, which is mostly likely desired by any restaurant or other venue you may want to book. In some case we can even help you find a location, as we produce events at numerous locations.

We are based in New York City, but we provide top entertainment in Washington DC to Boston MA, Pittsburgh PA to Montauk NY amd beyond. We reguraly work with events in Rhode Island, Hartford, New Haven, Albany, Springfield, Philadelphia, Wilmington, Rehoboth, Baltimore and all over New Jersey, New York & Connecticut.

- Hosting any themed party is easier than you think. You can pick up some simple lighting, props, decorations, costume accessories relatively cheaply with less than a week’s notice on Amazon. Share the links above with your guests ong with their invitations. Our shows do not require any decorations or costumes, but they do help set the tone. Add some music of the era, and a few funky dance moves, and watch yiur friends and family transport to the 1970s!
