The cast of EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH delivers a
fast paced interactive musical comedy show that is
improvised on the spot based on audience suggestions
and participation. No two shows are ever the same!.

Every show begins with one our veterans players
warming up and welcoming the crowd. Every five
minutes the MC is asking the entire audience for
topics – current events, pop culture news, classical
literature, sports etc. This becomes the inspiration for
the following song or scene – AKA “game”. Many of
the games invite audience volunteers on stage to
more directly steer the comedy.

SUMMER COMEDY CAMP

Seven weeks starting July 8. Each week is self contained program of Improv and Stand-Up Comedy. EVERY Friday there will be a performance showcase at 2pm. Each week students will craft original stories of personal experience and observation into original stand-up routines,

Improv Comedy Jam

$40 /class includes free tickets to public shows, $100/month includes 90-minutes of improv
comedy games (ALSO free admission to 1:30 musical jam and tickets to professional
comedy shows). The first 30-minutes will be a warm-up and technique building session. The
following hour will be a master class in performance games. Fun for experienced pros and
rank amateurs. NO pressure. Our #1 rule is HAVE FUN but never at another’s expense. This
is almost the same as our corporate workshop we use to teach team building,
management/leadership, sales and customer service. Stick around for the 1:30 jam and
3pm show on us (3pm show requires a 1-drink minimum purchase but the $25 cover is on

PLEASE BE ON TIME (meaning 15 minutes before class time!!!)
When you arrive each week, if stage is free please use it to work on your stand-up routines,
sketch comedy ideas etc. The first 30-minutes of class is warm-up and technique building,
which often includes a review of popular group games. The next 30 minutes will focus on a
particular performance game. The second hour is a open-mic/mock performance. Students
will have 2-3 minutes to present their stories, which will be crafted into original stand-up
comedy routines by show time. While waiting to perform, brainstorm ideas and organize
your thoughts in your journal. Bring your notes on stage with you (put on stool or hold). When
you sit, review notes – what went well, what was terrible. WHY? Be honest, not cruel to
yourself.  As time permits we will play additional games based on class preferences.
October 19, 26 DRESS REHEARSALS – NO DROP INS PERMITTED
After a brief warm-up the class will write and perform a mock show, including both Improv &
Stand-up comedy. The final 15-minutes will be a notes session.
November 2 SHOWCASE – NO DROP INS PERMITTED
Call time is 15-minutes before normal class time. Warm-up, set-up theater.
