Nicholas Nieves is a chess tutor at Chess at Three who can’t wait to teach you how to play! Having asked his mother one too many times to play chess with him as a kid, he knows all too well how important board games are to growing up. After finishing school for Theatre Arts at SUNY Fredonia, Nicholas moved to NYC to pursue acting and comedy. You can see him perform musical improv weekly at The Magnet Theater. He brings his experience as a Youth Development Professional at The Boys & Girls Club, and as a performing storyteller for kids all across the state with Awareness Theatre, to make learning chess fun and exciting … while also making sure you master all those fundamentals and skills. “Games are fun! No reason we can’t learn some lessons along the way.” When Nicholas is not performing or teaching chess, he runs Dungeons and Dragons games for his friends. Ask him about how his group was almost eaten by a dragon for a fun story.
