This chord pattern allows a number of options for a musician and improv players. Vary the tempo and style. For as traditional A – A – B – B rhyme scheme, you might play the pattern once, twice or four times to get a four line verse.

I love playing the pattern twice, so every two bars is a line. Lines one and three over the ONE and FIVE chords (C & G in the key of C above) propose a question. Lines two and four can answer the question and perhaps rhyme with the previous line over the SIX and FOUR chords (A minor and F major in the key of C)
