The future of the New York Improv Theater hits the stage of the Broadway Comedy Club. TIMES SQUARE NYC on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 2:45pm, when the old guard, founders Walt Frasier and Laurice Fattal pass the baton to former students, now working comics with EIGHT IMPROV.

The show will be hosted by Steven Prestia. Steven became a student at the comedy classes and camps at the age of 13. He began working with our camps at the age of 18 and was performing professionally before graduating college. Now, Steven MCs a number of our touring shows, including many of our Murder Mystery programs, is a regular at long island comedy clubs and can be found teaching improv and stand up comedy between gigs.
Home from school are other comedy school alumni, Carolyn White and Saloni Singh, both of whom have been named America’s funniest kid by Kenan Thompson comedy competitions, as well as Monty Swanson, Niki Palombo and Luke Stark. All of the above have worked with our professional troupe in recent summers as well as helped run comedy camp since turning 18.
Rounding off the cast, Tino Garcia Gross, while not our students, is a writing partner and frequent collaborator of the funny folks above.
Steven Prestia
Steven Prestia is a recent graduate from LIU Post with a BFA in Arts Management and an MBA. Steven hopes to use his arts management education to further his own comedy career. Steven has worked with various improv troupes in New York City as well as on Long Island including 8 is Never Enough Improv as a Teacher/ Cast member, No Control as a Performer/ Casting director, and Friday Night Face Off as a Player/Tech known as “The Voice”. Steven is also a stand-up comedian and has performed at various venues across Long Island and New York City. Some of his credits include Caroline’s on Broadway, Governor’s, McGuire’s, Gotham Comedy Club, and the Broadway Comedy Club. Steven is also a stand up comedy instructor at the Lau Lapides Company, teaching classes for Talent Inner Circle members.
Carolyn White
Woah, back from California already?? Yes indeed. Carolyn is very excited to make another appearance on her beloved Broadway Comedy Club stage. As a seasoned performer and new member of USC’s very own Merry Men improv team, Carolyn has had much comedic experience. Let’s see if she’s managed to hold onto it in this reunion show! (Carolyn was named America’s Funniest Kid by Kenan Thompson back in 2019 at the age of 12.)
Saloni Singh
Saloni is a comedy writer and performer and she is in love with you. She is a student at the University of Michigan and she thinks that parasocial relationships are helpful in selling tickets so she just wants to say that she thinks you have a really chill vibe and wants to be friends with you so much. She does stand up, sketch, and improv comedy and wow what perfume are you wearing, it smells amazing?? Oh wow, that’s just naturally how you smell? Lol, anyway. She won the Kenan Thompson Ultimate Comedy Experience Showcase in 2022. Again, she is in love with you.
Tino Garcia Gross
Tino is a a writer/performer from Manhattan, currently studying screenwriting at USC, where he also serves as president of the experimental sketch and improv comedy troupe Ludus Remedium. Tino’s been performing at the Broadway Comedy Club for two years now, and has loved every second of it!
Luke Starke is a senior at the Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn. His achievements are limited to the A- he got in AP French first quarter. He has been learning improv since the fourth grade and is moderately excited to continue doing so.
