Improv 4 Kids & Teens shows and workshops have been touring New York City schools since 2004. Our first Shows for k12 students happened when Farmington CT schools discovered us online in 2003. By 2005 we were rocking 300-500 Shows every year, hosting field trips at our Times Square NYC theater and touring theaters, schools, summer camps, military bases, libraries, museums, parks and rec and private family events. Times Square NYC Field Trips

Here is a typical morning at the Broadway Comedy Club, 318 West 53rd Street Manhattan NYC

• 10am Our cast arrives to set uo the theater for your students. Buzes can unload right at our door, or we are a short walk from Columbus Circle and Times Square trains.
• 10:30am Show 60-75 minutes of musical comedy skits and songs improvised off-Broadway based upon your student’s suggestions and participation.
• 11:30ish Q&A student’s get to ask professional comedic singing actors about their careers, improv, music, theater, etc.
• Our theater is a comedy club with tables and chairs. Students can eat their lunches right at their seats
• 12pmish dismissal
• 12:15 Hard Out
• Your students will get an off-Broadway theater experience for just $15pp (minimum $600 to add a private show to calendar Monday thru Friday)

PIZZA PARTY OPTION

For as little as $10pp we can add our pizza party lunch option. Students get 2 large slices and bottled water. We can also arrange Kosher Pizza, Gluten Free, and other menu items for a small fee.

WORKSHOP OPTION

We can add a 30-45 minute workshop starting as little as $5 extra. Students get to stretch their legs and play some theater games, exponentially expanding educational value of the trip.

SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES – SEL, PBIS, LITERACY, etc

Our touring company shows are wonderful additions to your school calendar. At the very minimum, bring some much needed joy and laughter into the building. We pair daily with Language, Cultural Arts and Character Building curriculum. Improv is SEL. Improv is PBIS. Improv reverse engineers story telling. Our improv shows expose stusents to live theater and music, Poetry, and more.

IMPROV WORKSHOPS & RESIDENCIES, AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMMING

Almost daily we have artists somewhere in The Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island and Manhattan schools teaching improv comedy. One off workshops pair well with assembly programs. Residencies and After School programming develop lasting life skills training. In short improv turns kids and teens into better students, community members and leaders. We teach listening focus.

Professional Development Programming

Why should the kids have all the fun! Give your teachers a much needed break, play games we us to teach corporate team building, leadership, sales and customer service. Let’s gave it. On any giving day, a teacher has to be all of the above. Improv teaches valuable techniques in both public speaking and interpersonal communication. And we teach games teachers can use in the class room.
